Trees, giants, fish and seagulls. These are just some of the protagonists which have given life and colour to our school plays.
‘The Selfish Giant’ is a story which teaches the children about how important it is to tear down walls so to unite and not to create boundaries. ‘The Rainbow Fish’ tells the story of a fish who learns how to share because friendship is more important than beauty and material possessions. ‘A Tree is’ sheds light on the relationship between animals and trees, teaching the children about respect towards Mother Nature. ‘The Giving Tree’ delivers the message of unconditional love, narrating the life of a child whose friendship with a Tree lasts until the end of their life. Last but not least ‘The Story of the Seagull and the Cat who Taught it How to Fly’ expands once again on the topic of boundless love, of a cat which raises a seagull with its community despite belonging to different species.
The students enjoyed acting, playing and enriched their English skills as all these plays were performed in English. Theatre is about learning how to collaborate as a group whilst having fun.
